This is a show full of rare cuts, a ‘pre-party’ playlist — dance, house and latin-flavored tracks and remixes from the club and the underground. includes rare remixes of Notorious B.I.G. and Nicki Minaj.
Here is a little background on Antonio and “Mixbelieve“:
Antonio Cuevas was born in the ‘70s, a 4th generation Angeleno, to a couple of high-school teens in trouble.
As a teenager, Antonio’s first job was working the Carl’s Jr. Burgers drive-thru and, at the moment, he is a marketing manager at L.A. Times. He has lived in charming locales like France and San Francisco and worked in alternative realities like Berkeley and Hollywood.
While in graduate school, Antonio underwent the typical strengths and weaknesses personality evaluation that MBA programs like to do. Some of the results: He’s the type of guy with a natural tendency to dig for novel insights about things… which can begin to explain his curiosity about leftfield ideas about music and sound.
“Mixbelieve” is Antonio’s music DJ project, featuring sets of sonic weirdness and odd cuts by various artists.
